Lock can be easily rekeyed by any locksmith. Adjustable latch fits 1-3/8 In. ~ 1-3/4 In. thick doors and 2-3/8 In. ~ 2-3/4 In. adjustable backset. E-Z installation with a Phillips screwdriver when holes are pre-drilled into the door. Can be installed on the left or right handed doors for your convenience. Package contents include an adjustable latch, adjustable backset, mounting hardware, instructions, drilling template and two (2) large head entry keys. Don't b dumb like me!
Please don't be dumb like me and install the latch without the door handle and then close the door. You will be trapped. Like I was. BUT in case you do what I did here is how you escape! You'll need to find something that fits within the square opening in the latch and twist until the latch opens. It took me a while and a full panic attack to figure this out myself even though it seems painfully obvious. I hope if you do lock yourself in you get out quicker than i did! I appreciate life so much more now.
