We are happy with the purity of the moisture in the air as a result of the filters and we have the highest expectations when it comes to our son, so this is saying a lot. Back to using genuine Honeywell filters instead of slightly cheaper substitutes. The Honeywell filter wicks twice as much water vs one substitute filter when on low fan speed, requiring two refills of the water container per day. Sometimes it dries at the top of the filter because I need to replace the water faster. But I wish the Honeywell filter had a sturdy frame like the honeycomb foil on the outside of the substitute filter I tried. Still will buy the Honeywell again.

I used the tap water to refull the water tank then I noticed the filter was a bit yellow. I soaked the filter in 1/2 cup of white vinegar with cold water for the day then rinsed it off. It works better this way. I was told to use filtered water to prevent yellow color on filter. Not sure if this is true.

Seems to work great- its draining the tank about every 8-12 hours on the high setting. So far about 3 weeks and the filter is going strong. We flip it about every 1-2 days and the humidifier runs almost continuously. The top edge does tend to dry out between flips, so maybe we need to flip with every fill as recommended..

You truly get what you pay for with these filters. I purchased an off-brand to try to help our budget. Fighting static electricity

Bought because a physical showed I have excessive static electricity in my body. Not life-threatening but has annoyed me for years. Looked for ways to decrease it and using a humidifier was suggested as I live in an arid state, and this has decreased the constant shocks I get and my hair has far less static in it. It's very quiet, easy to fill and operate. I have no complaints and would recommend it.

While this is a great humidifier, I wish the filter did not turn reddish things growing so quickly. We run the humidifier at night and take the filter out during the day so it can dry some as we thought that might prolong its use. But it still turns colors and start falling apart within a month. Additionally, within two weeks, we noticed a marked decrease in the water output, which pretty much coincides with when the filter started turning icky.

I'm so excited by the HAC-504. It works perfect. Back in 2015, I was sold a supposed equivalent under Subeam, HWF62. It didn't stand tall enough and thus allowed air to flow above the filter which reduced effectiveness. HAC504 is PERFECT fit and the air drafts efficiently all through the filter.

When initially searching for these filters I went to Amazon, but found reviewers there saying they may have gotten knock off filters, so I went searching for another source. Through the power of the internet, I found the Honeywell store, and found the regular price here to be nearly half of what it was on Amazon for filters I know are genuine, because they come directly from Honeywell. These filters have been great, never any funny smell when near replacement time, and the room gets humid quickly. Be sure to flip them over every time you add water so they don't dry out, and they'll last as long as it says on the box.

After doing a lot of research and comparison, I've found ordering directly from Honeywell is the best option as far as price, timeliness, and order correctness is concerned it's either my 3rd or 4th year ordering from them. I have pretty hard water where I live and I don't have a problem with white powder with my 350 model and A filter. I flip the filter over once a day to help keep it from drying out so it can do its job of wicking water up into the air. Also, I like the order reminder so I never have to deal with the middle man again.

I like my humidifier and your reminders. But, my humidifier isnt working. I push the on button and the fan and humidity % lights flash on and off. If I hold the button down the fan barely runs. The UV flashes on and off. What does this mean? This is my 2nd one and its less than 2 years old. Help!

After using a few different filters, I was very unhappy with their performance. They turned brown within a couple days, even though I use filtered water. They also stopped wicking within 10 days. I was using 2-3 filters a month. Deciding to give these Honeywell's a try was a great decision! They put out at least twice as much moisture running on medium as the others did running on high. And I've been using the same Honeywell filter for almost a month now with no slowdown in performance. I'll be ordering a supply of these to have on hand next winter!

These filters do their job well! They have a tendency to become discolored and to smell a little bit within a few weeks, and so you'll likely have to replace them every month, if not sooner. But that's the nature of a humidifier filter. Be sure to empty the humidifier tray every day, to avoid having the filter sit in water all day while the humidifier is not active.

I've been using these filters with the Honeywell HCM 350W Humidifier. I use two of them for a large sun-room with a high ceiling, and they raise the humidity significantly. You can gently rinse the filters every day to remove the yellow crust that accumulates and they will last over a month, even using them 24 hours a day. I'm very satisfied.

Humidifier filters

Replacement filters for a humidifier I have had for over ten years. Still does the same great job. I feel that the filter is very effective and thus safe regarding the types of problems one typically has re bacteria, mold, etc.
